Lifeline Direct Ltd (LLD) delivers a suite of Lifeline's services across ten geographical regions in New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory, as well as a range of specialised and targeted services which are delivered nationally.
LLD is the direct service delivery arm of Lifeline Australia which means that LLD delivers Lifeline’s 24/7 national crisis support service via 13 11 14 as well as a range of other services including face to face counselling, telehealth services and training. More recently our services have expanded to deliver some of Australia’s most vital free helpline services including MensLine Australia, Suicide Call Back Service, and SuicideLine Victoria.

Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia. LLD focuses on supporting the development and ongoing implementation of suicide prevention and community wellbeing programs in the regions which we operate while looking for opportunities to grow Lifeline’s services in geographical areas where they do not currently exist.
LLD encompasses Lifeline Centres in Hunter region, Central Coast, Eastern Suburbs-Bondi, New England North West, Northern NSW, Geelong and South West Victoria, Northern and Western Melbourne and Central Australia. Our specialised and targeted services operate nationally via a telehealth model.
Job Description
This exciting role as Warehouse and Logistics Assistant is based at our Thornton Warehouse and supports Lifeline’s retail operations through the safe and efficient collection and delivery of goods and raw product. As the Warehouse and Logistics Assistant, your role will be to support the Truck Driver and Supervisor Warehouse Operations in their daily activities and to relieve the Truck Driver position as/when necessary.
You will be proactive and have a safety focus, ensuring the methodical loading, storage, and unloading of goods in a manner that does not endanger any person or object. You will be able to physically meet the demands of this position and have good customer service skills to ensure a positive customer experience. When not out on delivery or collections, you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and learn new skills to assist the warehouse team in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. You will be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team to achieve LLD's goals.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position you will have:
• Current Class C Driver’s License coupled with a safe driving record
• Forklift license (not essential but desirable) or willing to obtain one within 12 months
• Demonstrated experience or willing to learn how to operate a light truck
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the position
• The ability to maintain a high level of internal and external customer service
• Ability to work unsupervised or with limited supervision and be able to prioritize own workload
• Willingness to promote and participate in a team environment
• Have a positive attitude and outstanding personal presentation
• Cultural sensitivity, diversity and awareness
• Able to work safely and productively to achieve the aims of the warehouse
